'Les Saisons' is in the beautiful and peaceful rolling country side of Deux-Sèvres you are ideally situated to enjoy many of the local activities during the day, in the evening simply sit and relax with a glass of wine in the garden whilst listening to the birds singing as the sun goes down.
'Les Saisons' can comfortably sleep 6 people + 1 baby, the house has two bathrooms, one on the ground floor and one
on the first floor, it also has a new enclosed swimming pool.
Europe's Premier Fishing Lake 'Pescalis' at Moncoutant is only 10 minutes away.

The Poitou-Charentes region lies between the chateaux and castles of the Loire valley and the Bordeaux vineyards and is reputed to be the second sunniest region of France, second only to the Med, offering many hours of uninterrupted sunshine. Its mild climate makes it desirable to visit any time from early Spring to late Autumn.
The Holiday Home 'Les Saisons' is situated between the historic town of Bressuire and the small market town of Moncoutant.
Having good airport connection from the UK to Nantes Airport.
La Chataigneraire is situated in a tranquil hamlet surrounded by countryside and yet is within easy access of the nearest small village of Terves (1 mile). where you can get your early morning croissants.
The town of Moncoutant (just 10 mins drive) offers larger supermarkets, banks and restaurants together with the town of Bressuire (10 mins drive) where you will find many restaurants, speciality shops, large hypermarket and street cafes to sit, take a coffee and simply 'people watch' or visit the typical weekly market which takes place each Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
The coast of the Poitou Charentes is one of the most popular with French holidaymakers, known for its long stretches of fine sand and good weather.
The famous coastal town of La Rochelle is located in the Charente Maritime department. The old harbour and three medieval towers symbolise the port's rich history; there are lively quayside markets, trendy bars and excellent restaurants a-plenty. Take a guided tour in a horse-drawn carriage, a boat trip to Fort Boyard or visit the fascinating aquarium The idyllic beaches of the Ile de Re (some 30km worth) are also within easy reach and the island is well worth a day's visit in its own right.
The area is perfect for walking, riding and cycling The countryside is made up of rolling hills divided up into a patchwork quilt of sunflower and corn fields interspersed with fields containing cows and goats. The marais poitevin (or Green Venice) is a fascinating maze of rivers, dykes and tree-shaded canals which thread between meadows and fields. They cover an area of 230,000 acres from Niort and Fontenay-Le-Compte to the Atlantic ocean.
The best way to explore is by boat, either with or without a guide.
Les Saisons is a Beautiful French House which has recently been fully refurbished to a very high standard to provide all the home comforts, whilst retaining many of the original French features. It is attractively and tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and very well equipped.
The gite which has 5 bedrooms in total, but we only let 3 bedrooms so to allow for a comfortable holiday.
The gite comprises of the kitchen / dining room, complete with fridge/freezer, dish washer, micro-wave, gas hob, oven, and extractor fan, high chair, travel cot, and all utensils for cooking.
The spacious lounge has sky free view channels, dvd player, and ipod connection, cd player, and the good size log burner will take off any chill on late summer evenings.
A selection of board games and books are available.
There are 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom downstairs, the bathroom includes both a bath and shower and upstairs there is a twin bedroom and the second bathroom with a bath and shower.
The house is south facing so you have the sun all day, if it gets too hot then we have plenty of parasols and trees to sit under.The very well maintained garden is very private, peaceful except for the sound of birds singing. We get several different species of wild birds visiting the garden all day, such as Blue Tits, Great Tits, Thrushes, Woodpeckers and the occasional Owl.
The private swimming pool is secure and fenced off providing peace of mind for parents.
It is a joy to sit outside on a summers evening after a day adventuring whilst drinking a glass or two of red wine, whilst the sun goes down.

You can also enjoy a game of Boules on our French Boules Pitch, the games room has a pool table, table football, a darts board and a selection of other games.
Laundry room, plenty of sun loungers and parasols. You are more than welcome to pick the fruit from our cherry, peach, apple and pear trees when ripe.
